Idaho received nearly $5 million from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to plan for the distribution of high-speed internet that is accessible, equitable, and dependable across the entire state.

The awards went toward:

✔ Establishing fast Internet networks
✔ Creating training programs for digital skills

Grants for Internet for All in Idaho include

FCC Program

Those in need can get assistance paying for technology and high-speed Internet service through the FCC Program. The Capital Projects Fund provides infrastructure and capital project funding assistance to state governments. In rural areas, the ReConnect Loan and Grant Program contributes to the expansion of high-speed Internet access.

EBB

The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB)

You will keep receiving your regular benefit until 3/1/22 if you are enrolled in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB). At this point, the FCC Program (FCC) will start and EBB will end.

There shouldn't be a need for you to enroll in FCC if your eligibility for EBB was established by your involvement in another aid program, such as Lifeline. Automatically, your benefit will change to FCC. You must reapply for FCC if you were eligible for EBB in 2020 due to income loss.
